There will be ENC. but only on law enforcement CID, SWAT, NARC, and some, FD Tacs, and EMS to hospital talkgroups

The FCC license WRZH814 is confusing the way its shows frequencies and locations. It has 18 frequencies on two sites for Easley on Cleveland Street. Nothing is there unless it's on the Combined Utilities water tank? The other fixed sites are not shown unless it's existing Fleet Talk sites made available to the Pickens County system. All of it is licensed as business trunked radio, which allows the grant money to bypass DHS P25 rules. But it will be far better than what EMS/Rescue had on just the Glassy Mtn site. The Sheriff had repeaters on Six Mile and Glassy Mtns, but walkie talkie coverage wasn't good in a lot of areas.

Once they make the switch to digital, is it possible they will still maintain the old UHF/VHF frequencies for back up or secondary purposes? There are some counties that do this or either they'll simulcast 800 radio traffic on UHF or VHF.

All the new NXDN system frequencies are 450 to 470 mhz or UHF. It's a fair point that the fire departments and rescue squads have a lot of VHF Motorola pagers to alert volunteers. It seems most of the VHF channels were renewed except for Six Mile FDs 159.1125 repeater license. It expired back in March 2023 and the FCC renewal was marked as dismissed. Presumably they got the first new NXDN radios.

Radios are installed in some of the trucks. Talkgroup 11696 seems to be Pickens Co EMS. I have submitted it to be added.

So the dispatch talkgroups are in the clear? I might start looking for a SDS100.

I noted in the other thread that the Easley site on Cleveland Street seemed to be complete last Saturday with antennas on the tower. Today, my ham radio was suffering from the RF images from that site while I was at the shop. I could receive Easley PD on 2125 but was getting a data burst before the squelch closed. Works okay up in TR.

The temple they put out is showing that everything is in the clear other then some PD tac talkgroups like Narc and SWAT.
