I work in Lake city and on my ride into work this morning I was picking up some distant VHF frequencies. I usually monitor Florida Forestry and listen to the radio checks. I can pick up Suwannee, Gainesville and Jax pretty good. I was picking up distant stations I had never heard before; one was the Mitchell tower 159.240. At work (commercial radio tech) I have an antenna about 100 feet up on a tower and am hearing 172.865 P25. I cannot find that in the database. It may be out of state. They are currently on a manhunt. It may be training, but it sure sounds pretty real. Some persons are in the clear and others are encrypted. We have some really dense fog this morning and am assuming this is helping a ducting scenario. Anyone know wo the 172.865 might be? I also hear 169.550 P25 once in awhile with users calling in vessel numbers to a dispatch center (Sector Orlando??). I am gonna keep the scanner going and record more contacts.

What NAC's did you hear on 172.8625 and 169.5500
since the freqs get used and re-used across the state, the NAC is important

172.8625 is CBP, (Generally PoE sites) multiple sites/users - NAC would be needed to narrow it down better.
FL has seen $284, $291, $297, $301, $303 and $304 - could be many others, not shared/reported/found
RS-2096 and yes on the 172.8625. I see that listed. My scanner doesn't show a NAC.

169.550 NAC 302 is part of CBP JAX Vote Scan Network. That repeater is in Lake City.

172.8625 NAC 297 is CBP JAX POE.
