this is some lingo that the pierce county sheriffs say.

ie.. "County clear, nbc" "In service, nbc" "In area, nbc"

I understand what it all means except the "NBC" part.

Okay. Your not crazy :)

I put on my fancy headphones and listened to both recordings slowing them down. First off I can tell they are not saying MDC, or MDT. Whenever a dispatcher or public service person says MDT or MDC they are talking about either a message being sent or not received to there laptop or terminal. Which is not the case here.

What they are saying is NVC. I have no clue what it sands for.

Attached are the two recordings slowed down a bit.

Im glad someone thinks im not crazy or needs my ears checked. i can believe they are saying NVC, either way i dont know what it means..... and it is not just the dispatcher that says it. the sheriff will say it when he/she is, in service, out service, arriving at call,

I can record more clips if need be, but the file size restriction here are killing me.

3.2.3 On-Viewing Incidents:

Officers utilizing the "on-view" function of the MDT/MDC shall do so only after becoming familiar with the Type Codes and their priorities, taking care when choosing a type code so as to accurately reflect the incident. Officers utilizing the “on-view” function of the MDT/MDC shall verbalize the incident to the dispatcher and identify their intent to initiate the CAD incident themselves by immediately following the advisement with the term “MDC” (i.e. “2T3, Traffic MDC”). The dispatcher shall announce the type of incident, location and acknowledge with the current time (ie. “2T3 on Traffic at 180th/Andover Park West, 1543”). The fact that an incident was on-viewed through mobile data does not change the dispatcher’s responsibility to check officer status and respond accordingly.

KC9GLG that clearly makes scene..... this whole debate on whether its MDC NBC or NVC.

for me i can CLEARLY hear 'MDC' and dispatcher referring to the MD computer for more info.
that solves that part of the confusion that my dumb ass didnt get at first.

Now, i can also CLEARLY hear 'NBC' and no reference of what it means.

The dispatcher guy that works nights for East Pierce County Sheriffs has a very CLEAR and slower voice
to hear the two differences between MDC and NBC .

I haven't really heard NVC

here is another audio clip with NBC heard and then the last dispatch lady can be heard clearly say MDC
