Pinellas County P25 now encrypted?

I haven't checked my SDR powered scanner setup in around a week. I come home tonight to find everything jumbled with a further e:"n" setup in DSD+. Has Pinellas encrypted the P25 network?

Sometimes the garbled sound is from poor decode quality, not encryption. If a transmission is actually encrypted, is will show up as italic in the Channel Activity window, like the PSTA bus talk group that is (unfortunately) encrypted in this screenshot:

So if it's not italic, then it's not encrypted.

Same thing with the Event Log. If it's italics, it's encrypted. Otherwise, it's not.

Many areas are now moving to encrypt transit, and school bus comms. After the last couple of years of domestic terror incidents, folks are indeed going ultra paranoid. Though sometimes one has to wonder when you see things like PD dispatch E and the Tac clear... School Bus E, but the ops of the campus are clear...
