Placer County CA testing 800 ?

I haven't found anything on this topic here so thought I'd ask in a new thread. I have heard recently that Placer CO Sheriff's Office is possibly testing a 800 trunked system. With the mountainous terrain this doesn't seem
feasible but thought I'd ask if anyone else has information that I can't find or confirm.

Follow up Question re; Placer Co CA

Ok thanks for the link, but that appears to be 5 years old....does anyone know if they made changes
back then from analog to digital >? Info I had from recent retired LEO was they are in testing but he couldn't tell me anymore....it's that he didn't know anymore and wasn't a "radio guy".

OK,,, got it all now. Thanks..New to forum post and was not looking deep enough. I am still listening
to analog only as I do not yet have any truck P25II capable scanners yet. I guess will have to do that sooner
rather than later. Suggestion for make & model ?
I am a low level monitor ...I only listen to local Placer Co and Nevada Co info.
