I'm surprised I never heard anything on STARS on the way to the track yesterday. Then again I really wasn't hearing anything at all coming down Rt15 and 360.

I'm here to race for the weekend, maybe. We're not being allowed to use the track yet. The pilot was the owner of the largest team in the paddock. TOBC Racing, The Old Boat Company. Also the president of Rand Construction. The plane was his T-28 N531KG. There were a lot of racers in line for registration when it happened and watched as he disappeared over the tree line. The pilot's mother was his passenger.

I doubt there will be any FAA or NTSB comms because the crash site is very small. It's along the hillside between turns 1 and 2 of the south course.

Been scanning for anything.

Did find the VSP DVRS VR-13 764.65625 to be using NAC 07B, same as in VR-47 Div 7. Nothing related to the crash though.
