Units responding to area 1 mile south of Trilby Rd on Taft Hill.
Working on PFA 3 and LCSO dispatch ch.
Reporting 2 code blacks.
Debris abt 30 yds off road in field to the west.
No fire or visible fuel spill at this time.
Numerous Emergency veh and witnesses on scene.
Cancelling units from Loveland.
Jurisdiction appears to be LCSO and possibly Loveland Fire.
07:50 pm, media on scene,there goes the neighborhood...

PRESS RELEASE

On August 19, 2006 at 7:23 P.M. the Larimer County Sheriff's Office received a report of an aircraft crash in the southwest area of Fort Collins.

Witnesses reported the aircraft appeared to be an ultralight and that it was "spiraling" before it went down. The crash site is one half mile south of Trilby Road on County Road 19 in an open field. There are no houses in the area and no fire was started. At this time, two are confirmed code black in the aircraft.

FAA representatives are on scene and the NTSB is enroute.
