Planning on getting an r3o

so im planning on buying a r30 in august for getting away from noise in the house and going to the park etc. All I would really use is p25 aircraft and shortwave some reapeters and skywarn would this be a good radio for this.the most important is airband and p25 due to all Michigan state freqs are p25 phase 1

Are they on a trunked system? The R30 won't follow talkgroups.

Ya but I dont thik ill use it that much for scanning and ive been thinking I decode alot of stuff can you recommend something with a regular audio port
All I really want is duel watch with good airband sensitivity and it to be a handheld receiver not a scanner thats durable thats why I'm thinking of this model

Won’t trunk but yes, P25, airband and reasonable shortwave Reception is great!
