Police Chase In Charleston

I was listening to this incident from beginning to end, Around 1:00am a grey truck was seen ramming a car in downtown Charleston, It was pursued towards Davis Creek and was lost. Then a call came in to 911 that the truck had hit a guardrail on I-64 in front of Women & Children's Hospital. The truck then got off at Greenbrier St. and was seen going into Carol Terrace by Officers. The chase started from there. The truck struck a car going down Virginia St., by that time there were lots of Officers after it. They hit speeds up to 85 mph going up Rt.114. The Perp lived in Slacks Trailer Park. They chased him out Mill Creek Rd. He then made a U-turn and headed back at the cars chasing him. He tried to hit the cars going back out to Rt.114. They fled towards Quick Rd., The Perp was throwing bottles, a tool box and other stuff at the cars behind him. Soon after that I heard " Shots Fired". The Prep was on the ground and so was the Officer.

The news reports in the Charleston Gazette and Charleston Daily Mail indicate that both the office and suspect were killed. The Gazette article and comments leave some very open questions as to the circumstances in the officer's death to which I hope prove false.

Please pray for God’s comfort for officer's wife and family. Always remember that those officers are in the line of fire each and every day and are attempting to keep you and your family safe from idiots and the scum of the earth like the one to which caused this officer's demise.
