Hi

I am sure this is another dumb question, do you guys have a link to what the police codes mean? I am in NY.

Thanks!

I would suggest you pose this question in the New York regional forum. There are so many different code systems in use for law enforcement in the U.S. that printing all of them would fill a small library. It is hard to answer your question for even one large state as many departments don't make their codes available to anyone.

There are 10 codes, eleven codes, 900 codes, as well as the numbers from vehicle and penal codes used. No doubt there are some major code systems I don't remember or may not know of as I don't travel all that much. If you can find an old edition of Police Call for your area it will have a lot of them in the back.

Good luck!
