Hmm, that's interesting. I ran Unitrunker on the Pomona subsystem for several hours yesterday and didn't get a single voice call hit from the Cal Poly talkgroup. They usually have at least a few transmissions every hour, even on a Sunday. However, I wasn't monitoring their conventional UHF channel during that time. I'll listen to both tonight to see if anything has changed.

Could it be they utilize the TG when off campus? Kinda like how City of San Fernando utilizes it when out of reach of their own repeaters.

So maybe since it popped up on the Glendale site, maybe a CalPoly user was out and about and associated with the Glendale ICIS site during the period?

I saw that the database was updated for ICIS and Pasadena has a police access talkgroup 2484.

What is this talkgroup all about now? I know Pasadena PD has put up a big stink about being encrypted so I was just wondering why there is another digital talkgroup in the clear from them.

I suspect its a simulcast of their UHF access channel which is clear analog anyhow.

Heard the TG pop up on Glendale today again. I believe the callsign was David-90 for a radio check.

I confirmed last week that Cal Poly's 464.9125 is not patched to the 2365 talkgroup. At least not full time.

David-90 does not sound like a Cal Poly PD unit designator. The second part of their designators are usually pretty low numbers like Victor-5, S-1, etc. It seems unlikely, but maybe the talkgroup is being reassigned to another agency? I guess we won't know for sure until there is more substantial traffic.

Did you happen to catch the radio ID? Cal Poly's radios are in the 44100 range.

I have confirmed Cal Poly PD is now using the 2365 group without any patches. I'll go ahead and add them to ICIS P25 and deprecate their old group.
