Does anyone know anything about the current status of the McKenzie PD as far as comms? Seems there's a note in the db from some point indicating the db admins aren't sure what they're on. Thought maybe someone knows...

They are on the Carroll County DMR System but I understand most are moving to the TACN System just no date yet I also no towers and sites are being looked at.
OK. The note on that system about them not being on there had me thinking they went to something else. I guess that note is inaccurate.

The current vendor has been working on that system for years never really completed or working to suit the customer
OK, can confirm they’re on the DMR system. No idea why the database says they went dark or whatever. Anyway, thanks all.
Because no one has submitted the information so the moderators could in-put it!

If you look at the DATABASE you will see it listed.
Not sure who posted the change in July as they have been DMR Trunking with Simulcast on their backup Frequencies.

Doesn’t seem there was anything to submit, just an incorrect note made by someone.
Submit the incorrect note to let an Admin know so the incorrect note can be removed.

I posted the obvious incorrect information. I have 3 scanners -a bcd436, bcd536, and sds200. Was hearing Mckenzie traffic on DMR until a month or so ago. Have not heard traffic since. Checked all settings and all data from Sentinel, still no traffic.
Sorry for the incorrect submission, but am at a loss of why I am not hearing. Still hearing dmr and Mototrbo from other locations.

Not hearing McKenzie police on the backup system either. Hear carroll county, huntingdon, ems and fire on conventional, None on
dmr. Strange.

No idea. I was visiting this last weekend and heard traffic multiple times. Not sure what to tell you. A setting on your scanner? Something got changed accidentally? Not sure...

I was there Thursday Friday and Yesterday heard them on my SDS100 325P2 436 and TRX-1.
McKenzie PD is planning to come to TACN at some point, probably next year. They tested radios on TACN and are getting good coverage from our Gleason site. Their coverage should be enhanced once the Huntingdon site goes online later this year.
I just heard the PD on their old analog channel 453.550. It sounded like they were still multicasting it from the DMR system. If you want to listen to them on the DMR system, you'll have to be actually listening to the McKenzie DMR site to hear their traffic. The county's DMR trunked system is not simulcast.

We are still using DMR and simulcasting on VHF for county fire and McKenzie fire, and UHF for CCSO, McKenzie PD, and Huntingdon PD. Our <beware of extreme sarcasm> wonderful audio will be crystal clear, border to border with no dropouts, gonna be the most awesome digital system in the world... DMR system sucks balls just as bad as the analog simulcast you are hearing (and not hearing). We are having trouble in all phases. Dispatch is extremely distorted with certain dispatchers and consoles. Units in the field transmit weird unreadable modulations and/or get dropped completely even when we are in a good position to hit a tower. Many units will show "busy" when we key up, even when nobody else is transmitting on the system. Radios sometimes "walk" on each other, even though it has a cueing system that is supposed to prevent that (remember the "busy" issues?). We can sometimes hear both transmissions similar to the way it was with analog. It wouldn't be all that bad if it just happened every now and then, but it happens all the time. As for the analog side, a few radios are being used through the gateway on the county fire dept, but AFIK, nobody at the SO, HFD, or HPD are using analog radios. I can't speak for McKenzie. We've spent millions on this system and it is much worse than if we had just put up a couple repeaters on our old VHF and UHF analog system to cover the spotty Cedar Grove and Yuma areas. Our radios are Tait, mostly TP9300 (handheld) and TM9300 (mobile), with a few newer models here and there. Hopefully they won't get mad at me for going off on our current system now that we have started the ball rolling on TACN. 
For some reason I get the feeling you are slightly annoyed with the current state of things...not sure where I'm getting that feeling from but just a feeling I have.
