Okay, I found something.

Under the settings for your Pomona cell TSYS object, your "Type" is currently set to "P25 AUTO". This value needs to be changed to "MOT VHF/UHF". While making this change, Win500 should preserve your custom trunking tables and system frequencies list, but I would check them afterwards just in case.

Everything else looks fine as far as I can tell.

Thanks jlanfn,

That worked! I had wait a bout 5 mins, but I did get it. I thought all digital systems were P25 and should be set that way, so I admit, I did change it from what RR gave me.

Thanks for all your help.

I'm glad to be of help.

Supposedly ICIS will be going to full P25 (9600 baud control channel) at some point in the future, so at that point you will need to set it up as P25. I certainly don't know if and when it will happen. It may not happen until ICIS gets integrated into LA-RICS some years from now.

Hi,

It has been a while. I am still having problems monitoring Pomona PD. I have the Radio Shack PRO-2096 and I have tried everything.

I have no clue where to input the spacing.

So, should I purchase the software & cord? If so, what is the name of the software and where do I purchase it at??

thanks

Eric

I could pick them up from south east Riverside no problem. As far as I know, the main TG (Blue) is not encrypted.

Does anyone have a working custom table for Pomona? Current Custom table will not lock on to frequency.

i am i little confused on "380, 499, 470.01250, 380, 12.500"
i know that 470.0125 is the control ch and 380 is offset, and 12.500 is the spacing, but what is the first 2 set of number "380, 499" and "500, 759"

i have a BCD396XT scanner fyi

those r the Hi and Lo frequencies for the trunking table

srry i still dont understand i am using freescan to program my scanner (BCD396XT) and the options it gives me is lower freq, upper freq, step and offset. the site type in "mot custom/reband type II" should i be using a different one. i have used this last time and i could get Pomona pd perfect but once they reband everything then i have trouble.

Is it possible to monitor the Pomona PD cell from the downtown LA area? Possibly through another cell? Not too familiar with ICIS systems...

Should I use the Glendale site settings and frequencies, with Pomona's TG... or Should I add Pomona's frequencies to Glendale's site with Pomona's settings? Nothing I have tried seems to work...

The only way you will hear Pomona radio traffic on the Glendale or Pasadena sites is if there are Pomona units associated with that site, or there is a simulcast patch running at the time.

Otherwise you need to monitor the Pomona site for local Pomona area traffic.

Sorry about that. It's in the Radio Shack scanner forum, Under Pomona ICIS. I'm kinda new at this, and trying not to make any mistakes here. I probably should have left my question here but I wasn't sure. I know I can't post the same thing in different forums so I will leave it alone. I apologize again for any mistake.
