Here is a curiosity item from Audiovox. It looks to be a GMRS radio with a built in UHF scanner. The model number is GMRS7015RC, and is advertised as a GMRS handheld with a "racing" scanner. However, from the manual it appears that the scanner side of this radio can be programmed with any frequency in the 450 MHz to 469.9875 MHz range in either 12.5 kHz or 6.25 kHz steps. There are 20 memory channels and a search function.
I suppose all this is not a big deal except that the price for two of them is $30 on several websites.

This could be a real cheap option for someone who just needs to monitor a few UHF frequencies or a kid who might be prone to breaking a 'real' scanner.
