Just read another article about that today. They were complaining about the fact that all the cell phone sponsored investigations prove it isn't, and all the other ones prove it is. It's non-ionizing radiation, so I wouldn't expect it to be cancer causing. Any RF that's strong enough will cause some amount of body heating that can be bad for you (eyes are especially sensitive and bubbles can form), but that requires more output than you're going to get out of a cell phone. Dunno. Time will tell...

So is it the frequency or transmitting power? I thought cell phones use low transmitting power?

Now here is a question, I take my scanner in a car and past some tower sites, and well some tower sites cause interference others not. The big question is it the frequency or transmitting power the tower sites use, to cause this interference..

It's a combination of frequency and transmitting power. Generally speaking, higher frequencies require less power to cause bodily heating. That's just a broad generalization though. There's exceptions, it's not a perfectly straight line...

As far as your interference, it's a combination frequency, transmitting power, radiation pattern (including reflections, etc, from other objects nearby).

I was more worried about the rumors that if a guy smoked too much pot his breasts would grow.

Is it a direct result of the pot? Or that the stereotypical 'stone' spends his time sitting about eating junk food and giggling at various things while squinting?

Only on the Ground, not in the Air. The other reason for No use of Cellphones [besides the potential to interfere with Aircraft electronics] was that a Cellphone at that elevation will attempt to hit any tower and could tie up a network by trying to connect to many towers.

Interference

I get Interference when a sit my Pro-97 next to my PC it's in the 155 Mhz range so it's not the Wifi
so guess its just the PC itself.

She says if she is near a person with a cell phone, even if the person is not using it, she gets sick. That is why she wears that netting to keep the radiation away. I hope she stays away from her microwave or even the sun because that puts out more radiation than a cell phone.

the ONLY thing an X-ray might affect would be undeveloped film, esp high-speed. it has no effect on any electronics, or even developed film. at my airport we recommend removal of cameras/film with over 800 speed film (we hand-check those instead of x-raying). bigger airports might use CTX machines (powerful x-rays) for checked baggage; I understand those can fry most film, but still won't affect electronics.
