Anything to make a buck and satisfy stock holders.

Microsoft's New Search Engine Puts Porn in Motion - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News - FOXNews.com

All this talk of parental software and crap is fruitless, nonsense, crap!

It's simple. Go to OpenDNS | Providing A Safer And Faster Internet and create an account. Read the how to's! Add their two DNS address, 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 to your router's DNS settings, (instruction are on the web site) or add the IP address to the computer/s.

Now go into your new free opendns account and add bling.com to your block list. Now whenever someone tries to go to that site, they will see a page that looks like this. In case your wondering who that Amish guy is. It's Weird Al from the the music video Amish Paradise. YouTube - "Weird" Al Yankovic - Amish Paradise (Rumor has it that the horse and buggy is the new GM vehicle...)

So there you have it. Read about it and use Commonsense!
Granted I may sound like a very commy administrator, but I hate that companies make profits on this crap. Both with porn and blocking it.

Also, add these keywords to your routers keyword url blocking option to get rid of those crap Craigslist ads.
Code:
.org/ers .org/cas .org/w4m .org/w4w .org/msr
There are a few more I have to find and will post them latter. See the .org/w4m? w4m means woman for men, etc...

Note-
Always create a non-administrator account if your concerned about chat programs and what have you. This insures no one can install a program without your permission and lessens any havoc little ones may do on you computer. However, portable chat clients do exists. To block that is another topic. Not hard to do however.

Oh yeah. bling.com just got added to my opendns block list.

Not sure what the big deal is, its not like MS is the first one to have this feature. Google has had it for a few years.

Yeah, and it's been discussed on the opendns forums on how to block pic searches from Google for some time.

I don't care myself, but accessing sites by way of this quasi-proxy leads to all kinds of potential malware problems. It's not the porn capability I'm really afraid of, It' the malware that rides the porn wave.
