I wonder how many state agencies carry multi-band radios to even use these UHF MA channels? Too bad so much effort went into building Palmetto 800 and now so many agencies are going their own way. I guess it's just too expensive.
Not needed if they built out Tri-Stacs at each of the Interop Sites to integrate the VHF, UHF and 800 Interops

Don't know about MA, but ACSD uses 453.150 car to car on a regular basis.

I don't believe the State maintains repeaters on UHF or VHF anymore for interop purposes. Perhaps some of the counties still do, those that still use those bands. I think the only conventional repeaters maintained by the State are the 800MHz repeaters (usually SC 8TAC or ITAC frequencies).

The State still licenses the old VHF and UHF regional channels, but as simplex channels as part of the SC UTAC/ SC VTAC channel lineup.

They do have a few. FCC Callsign WRVW303 (SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION (DTO))

SC UTAC 1 (460.250, 156.7) was heard frequently during the Table Rock fire a few months ago. It was heard clearly in Anderson, so I think it was probably a repeater output ( possibly a portable repeater?). I don’t recall which agencies were using this channel, however.

You would certainly know better than me, but I often wonder how many state licenses actually reflect built out systems in real life.

That license appears to be for 3 different repeaters, and using frequencies that are Nationwide UHF interoperability frequencies. Does anyone know if 453.4625, 453.7125 and 453.8625 are heard in use in the Edgefield/Saluda/Newberry area?

I believe that the State has portable/mobile repeater setups for large-scale incidents to support interoperability. Perhaps that was what was used at the Table Rock fire? That's complete speculation on my part.
