Was wondering if anyone was having the same problem I'm having with my SDS 100 I was in Myrtle Beach over the weekend and was listening to the horry county public safety system and I had a lot of issues with the signal breaking up I was up around the 52nd ave area was wondering if maybe they had a tower issue I don't remember having any issues before in that area

Try experimenting with filter settings. How many bars of signal? What about RSSI value? Did the signal clear up if you moved elsewhere? Any cell towers in the area that may conflict with RX?

It never lost any bars I know that a tower was just down from me on 10th ave according to the map I just figured that maybe it was out I had heard that horry was going to do some work to the system to get it stronger

The filters suggested above are good ideas, as your problem might not be loss of signal in the area, but the presence of interfering signals. Try to block them out and hopefully your reception/decoding improves.

Maybe too much signal? The receiver in SDS100 are not the best when it comes to handle strong signals. Enable the attenuator and also IFX to each frequency of the site can be tried.

Thanks for the help I will keep that in mind next time I'm down that way I live in nearby Marion county so I'm able to pickup horry from home and I can pick them up in Florence from my work so I usually don't really mess with my settings I just let it do it's thing on what I have it set on like the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it
