Possible to get RCMP?

Hi all, I am new to the hobby and am about to buy my 1st scanner. I live in a small Northern Manitoba town, and would like to try pick up the RCMP I dont believe they have digital but am not sure. Can anyone suggest a good scanner. Looking to spend 400-450ish.

the short answer is yes, they are digital on this trunk system, if you are in the north you are zone 3, look for the tower closest to your area, then you need to buy any digital trunking scanner , Uniden (radio shack thru ebay) , or the new GRE, have patience you need to understand trunking first ,
you can try radioworld.ca or any of the dozens of internet sites selling digital scanners
I am not sure of any dealers in Winnipeg ? probably as you are a distance from a major metropolis (order from the net)
