Seems the Canada Admin can be quite slow sometimes.
On behalf of the database administrators, I would like to apologize to everybody for not working submissions in a timely manner.
I apologize that I have a life. I apologize for taking time out for my wife, kids and job. I apologize that a ctcss tone update for an obscure link frequency that nobody probably listens to might take a while to get updated in the database because I've got to take my kids to hockey.
I apologize that I don't get right at it and fix a sloppily formatted submission so it can be easily uploaded to the database. People should count on the admins to fix their submissions so they can be easily uploaded so they don't have to take time out to read the submission guidelines (
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=34). How long should it take me to edit out all the commas that somebody feels are necessary between the fields?
I apologize that I take time to check the submissions for accuracy, especially those that have been lifted from another website and resubmitted here. It's hard work to cut from somebody elses webpage and paste it into the submission box here. After all, if the information is on somebody elses webpage then it should be correct, right? Instead of contacting the webmaster of the data and asking if it's ok to post it here, I should just get it into the database as quickly as possible.
So once again, on behalf of my fellow administrators, I apologize if we take too long to get your information submitted. After all, your corner of the world is the most important, right?
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Season's Greetings to all.
I promise I'll try better next year.
