I've always had pretty good performance with SDRTrunk. I have 4 RTL-SDR tuners that monitor Hanover, which is a Phase 1 linear simulcast system. I've only ever heard of issues decoding Harris systems with Unitrunker, I can receive Spotsylvania County (which is Harris) fine with SDRTrunk. Make sure to check your tuner configuration in SDRTrunk to see if they need to be 'tuned' or not.

Not sure I follow your question. There was nothing Motorola-propriety put into their Harris radios.
Getting ready to try to put a Motorola into service and to program that I’m going to have to try to find a program key from Harris radio. Harris is so hard to deal with. I hope things last with relationship between Powhatan and Harris but things not looking good since Harris is trying to sell the company to Japan overseas.

You’re trying to put a Motorola radio in service on the Powhatan Harris system? Have you talked to any of their people about getting it programmed?

Perhaps he's trying to affiliate scan Powhatan's system with a moto radio. The old xts3000's required a syskey in order to program trunking systems through cps. I hope his goal isn't accessing the system...

It would be just to scan since the digital scanner is 600-800 and this is free. L3 Harris radio system is one of the hardest ones to scan

Sources report that the VHF simulcast for fire/rescue will likely be taken down in the next couple of weeks.

I think (and I could be entirely incorrect) that all of their tone-outs are "compatible" with P25. I live in Hanover, and King William uses our system, and page over P25 as far as I know. So it's possible that their tone outs just happened to work with P25's modulation, and they are wanting to save money on equipment and license costs. Makes sense.

Are they going to use paging over the trunk system ?
Yes, they've been paging over 800MHz for a couple of months now, using TG alerting, not two-tone sequential paging though. They're using Unication G4's for this function.

UHF analog for sequential paging, each company has a separate TG for alerting no sequential paging on them.
Dispatch Tg, UHF sequential paging and a Tg for each company are patched together for initial dispatch.
Alleghany uses something similar
