They switch from different CC's and the one that has the most power is the one they connect to I was told they use many different ones. and I will hear the ones closet to me. Is that right? They jump around.

When nothing is being received, you will see the control channel frequency displayed. When a transmission is received, you will see the voice frequency used for that transmission. The control channel specifies the voice frequency to be used. That is why you only need to enter the control channel capable frequencies for a site. All of the frequency information is carried on the control channel. You can enter the control channel frequencies for several sites into the frequency list for a system (32 max). If Multi-Site is set to Roam, you will receive only the site with the best signal. That may be what you are referring to. If Multi-Site is set to Stationary, you will scan every site whose control channel frequencies are in the frequency list.

If you have a cable with 1/8" (3.5mm) TRS stereo plugs on both ends, you can clone the programming from the scanner that works to the scanner that doesn't work. To do that, plug the cable into the PC/IF jacks on both scanners. On the scanner that is working, press PGM or PROG. Scroll to Clone Send. When you press SEL, the programming from the working scanner will be copied into the non-working scanner.

I left out a step. After pressing PGM or PROG, press F3 (GLOB) before scrolling to Clone Send. Sorry about that!

The A never Flashed before just wonder how I get it off now?

As Tvengr posted above, you have turned on attenuation for some individual items while you were not in the Global mode. The fastest, easiest, and surest way to be certain all attenuation for everything programmed in your scanner is turned off is to use the Global mode.....

You want your attenuation display to look like the pic in post #25

Assuming you are still not in global mode as indicated by your last post..... press FUNC + ATT

you should now see either G or GA in the display.

If you see just the G, all attenuation for everything in your scanner is turned off. If you see GA in the display, press ATT to turn off the A so that just the G is showing.

Going back to the first paragraph in my post #11:

When you see the G in the display by itself, it indicates that the Global mode for attenuation is in effect, and all attenuation is turned off globally... there is no attenuation of any signal being received by the scanner (this will override any individual attenuation settings).
