Pro 106 and Motorola p25 phase II system

Does anyone no if the Radio shack pro 106 work on the motorola p25 phase II system

No, it will not.

And no scanner will, at least right now. That includes the Unidens and GRE models - the firmware is likely some time off....73 Mike

Bummer. But I am happy to say I purchased my pro106 for $399.

The reason no scanner works with 'Phase II' is that there is no 'Phase II' yet. The standard hasn't been finalized. The scanner manufacturers can't reverse engineer it till it exists to be reverse engineered.

from what ive read its not a firmware/software issue,
lies more with the hardware,,i think the vocoder..

congrats on the 106,,the lil thing is a powerhouse!
