I'm assuming you mean Mesa FD on VHF? You can receive them on TOPAZ as well, to help with 800 trunking you can try the RS 800 antenna(it does pretty good on VHF also)

sounds like they are breaking up both dispatch and officers, mesa pd superstition..didnt know if a better antenna would help the reception.I am new to the scanner world not sure what topaz is..

TOPAZ is the abbreviation for Mesa's part of the larger simulcast P25 system here in the Phoenix AZ area. TOPAZ-TrunkedOpenArizonaNetwork. It's what Mesa PD/GilbertPD/AJPD/MesaFD and city services and some others operate on. The 800 antenna may help and it may not, simulcast P25 is something scanners have difficulty with.
