Pro-106

Looking at saving up some money to go digital. Does anyone have experience with the 106 on SAFE-T? What would you think of that opposed to the 96? Since I am only interested in SAFE-T as far as my digital realm goes, should I buck up for the 500/106 or would I be ok with the 96?

Get the 106 while it's on sale for $299. The 96 was a good scanner but the 106 is better. I own a PSR-500 which is the same radio, which I paid about $500 for! It's more sensitive than the Pro-96 and it has more features. If anyone goes to 700 MHz trunking the 106 can do it but not the Pro-96.

There are a few RS stores in the Indy Metro area that show the Pro-106 in stock.

Not a good dilemma. Maybe it will be on sale later, but it will be a long time before you see prices that low again. You should have asked for one from Santa LOL.
