Hi all,
I'm a newb and just picked up my first scanner, the RS Pro 107. I've got everything setup and working to broadcast on Radio Reference. The audio is working great and the radio is connected successfully. My question is how do I get the software to read and transmit the alpha tags (metadata)? I understand that WinAmp or the Java Player are the main players that can read this data. The problem is that the software doesn't seem to be sending it.
I've tried both ScannerCast and RadioFeed and neither seem to support this scanner model. Has anyone been able to get this to work using the settings for a different model? - (Unfortunately neither software seems to support the GRE 700 either).
Thanks for any help!

As a follow up bit of information, it appears there is some similarity in the serial connections of the GRE 600 and the RS Pro 107. I say this because there is some limited ability in Scannercast to actually view the alpha tags in the advanced screen. Although they can be seen in the application as each transmission goes through, they are not sent to the online station.
Also, by using Win500 I can actually view the onscreen data of the radio. Although much of the other functionality in Win500 doesn't work right, there is certainly some capabability to get the alpha tags from this radio. I guess neither ScannerCast or RadioFeed support it yet...
