Pro-135 question

Hi guys im brand new to this hobby and bought what i thought was a bargain unit from a well known auction site, Radio shack pro-135 dual?. However i have bought it from a seller in the U.S who has since informed me it is only programmed for use in the usa and would need to get it re programmed to pick up here. This is my own fault as i just assumed it would work over here it never occured to me to check.
Will i need to have it reprogrammed and if so is it difficult to have done or am i better sellin and starting again. Thanks all sorry for the long winded post.

yes, you will have to have it reprogrammed, and it is very easy to do.

Welcome to RR.com, joffman65. You will find many here willing and very able to help in most situations. As far as having to mention that you are in the UK, simply return to your UserCP (the left side of the second blue bar from the top of any page if you are logged in) and update your profile by adding your full location (i.e., city, state, country). That way it will automatically show in each of your posts and you won't have to worry about that again. We have a lot of members from the UK post here.

Hi thanks for the tip, iv updated it now. Well my new scanner has arrived at the depot so il pick it up tomorro and see if i can pick anything up on it. If not i hav a local shop that will be able to reprogram it for me i think.
