I have a PRO 163 scanner for my feed. Somehow I lost my radio shack programming cable. I bought one from Valley something or another,
It's an FTDI cable. I downloaded the drivers and they load fine but the scanner programming software won't read the current profile from the scanner. It goes about 3/4 and stops. I've tried over and over and cannot get it to work. I wanted to try reading before I sent a new programming map but I won't even think of trying if it won't read.
I've tried COM3, 4, 5. Tried reinstalling. I don't get any green light on the cable when it's supposedly transferring data, the red light illuminates for 3/4 of the time and turns off. Then it freezes.
If anyone can help me I'd sure appreciate it.
Win 7 32 bit and it worked perfectly with the RS cable.
My cable disappeared and I'm running out of options.
