Pro-164 Issue????

I have a pro-164 hand held, since i live out in the country what would be a good antenna?? I am picking up some towns about 25 miles away but with alot of static or (hissin sound). i would like to have a portable rubber duck antenna but dont no which one to get... Could you guys recommend a good antenna?

The Diamond RH77 is a good choice if VHF and UHF is what you are after although it is rather long. For 800 and UHF the RS800 does a real good job. Being you are in the country you maybe just fine on the selectivity which is common with the GRE's.

I bought my RH77 from Universal Radio in Reynoldsburg, Oh. but I just stopped in while I was in Columbus. The link is here for the RH77 Diamond RH77CA Amateur HT Antenna.
As for the RS800 (Radio Shack 800mz) I just bought from my local store. Is found here 800MHz Scanner Antenna - RadioShack.com.
