Hello,


Just wondering if someone could help me with this I have some edcas trunking in bank 0 with convental Freqs and Motrolla in Bank 2 now I cannot have them scan both at the same time I had done this before but dont remember how I did it please help

Generally to toggle a bank on/off press it's number.

The Banks are fine I tried that it didnt work It states in the Manual theres a way to be able to scan both trunking systems on different banks as ur scanning so they both come up Like I said I had it before without turning the banks off just dont remember what I did.

While in the SCAN node, press the corresponding number on the key pad to turn on or off the banks

I have a PRO164....while scanning several banks, all you have to do is press the bank number to turn it off or on (works like a toggle switch). Just watch the display to see which numbers are visible and that will indicate to you which banks are being scanned. If this doesn't work for oyu, try doing a rest on your scanner (should be covered in the manual) and then try this again. I just bought my PRO-164 a week ago and it works jsut as I said above.

Is there a way to manually program the rebanding on the PRO-164? I don't want to have to buy a cable for this scanner.

You need a program like WIN97 and the cable to enter the custom table.

Just what is the scanner not doing now that it was before? Is it locking on a channel? Is it not stopping on any channel?

Well Like I said I have convential freqs and edcas on bank 0 and mortolla on bank 2 for the state police and now Its only scaning edacas and not the motorolla I am listening to the convental freqs now but I am getting edacas but not motorolla when I scan threw. Had it all hooked up for awhile I think I did something like change the mode on edacas to motorrolla Idk Becuase I tried that agian and it didnt work so I have'nt a clue all i know is I had them both scanning at the same time it says as long as there in different banks it will scan all trunking idk maybe Im not doing something obloiuvos who knows

With the 164 EDACS systems have to be in their own bank, or at the very least programmed starting on a 01 channel (IE: 001, 101, 201, 301, ect.)

If you are scanning other things on the same bank as the EDACS your scanner wont follow the control channel properly

Have you verified that bank 2 is set to MOT and all of the trunk system frequencies are also set to MOT?

What system are you trying to monitor in bank 2?

I set Bank 0 to mortorolla freqs and its got edcas on it
I set bank 2 to edcas to scan motorolla NJSP
Idk I dont get it but now Im getting it with the Freqs
Very werid stuff going on there lol
