Just purchased a PRO 2006 and it seems to have a mod in it.

See attached anyone know what it is?

I am not sure - but I do not recall this being stock board - but it has been at least 20 years since I had one.

Other than need to clean the Volume Pot. - it seems to be good.
it didnt tag you .. see the post right above this

His board has an audio OP amp and two rectifier diodes to make a DC voltage from the audio, and your schematic do not have those components. It's almost certain a data eliminator board.

If you have any of Bill Cheeks modification books then look at the picture from W8WCA of his circuit board and the names of the IC's and search for a modification that has those two IC's, look for the data eliminator schematics.

I found PDF's of all three books and it is called data tone squelch. But it only use the analog comparator IC and not the logic gate IC so this is probably not a Bill Cheek modification.

I read a note from Bill on the internet that he speaks of a tone/data canceler of some sort but that are not in his books.

He writes in his book of a dream pre-amp that has less than 1dB noise and more than 30dB of IP3 and costs less than $150. Today there is a PGA-103+ amplifier that has less than a 1dB noise figure and more than 40dB IP3 and costs $5.
