Recently got a Pro 2096 (first digital for me) I have programmed conventional trunking systems before but........this thing is a nightmare. I have a programming cable on order but would like to get it to work now. I have everything in there I need and I can see the talk groups and user indentitly fine on the screen but have no volume. When I check the channels other than the control channel I can hear the conversations so I know the APCo 25 is working. But why no volume??

Can you post a link to the system your trying to monitor, and it would help if you went into your User CP and filled in your location, that would have at least given users your location to search for systems in your area.

Hi danno2manno

this is what you have to do to program it by hand to receive Fleetnet

Press FUNC ,then TRUNK
For mode choose Motorola
Press FUNC then 2
Enter141.015 for base freq.
Enter 380 for the offset
Enter 15.0 for the spacing
Press FUNC , then 3
choose 3600 for the table
Press MANUAL enter the Control Channel from the site you are monitoring.
Press SCAN and watch it come to life.
Another hint is put multiple sites in one bank.
You can do this by having each site separated by a non-trunking FM mode freq. between control channels.
I have King City in channel 000, Britannia in 008 , Mowat in 016 and Ballinifad in 032. The trick to doing this is to have a FM mode channel in the ones before the CC. (e.g. in 007,015,031)

With the Mowat site though you need software for multi-table custom tables.
You will notice that Mowat has 152.000 as a voice channel. Without an additional table entered then 152.000 will be down converted to 144.270 and you will miss comms.
For now try the single table instructions I posted and you will be trunking tonight.
