Pro-60 Battery Holder

Does anyone know where i can buy a new battery holder for the pro-60 it is the one that take 6 AA's When i put it in the scanner won't power up but when i first bought it off eBay it worked fine.

do you see anything wrong with the battery holder or any damage to it for why it might not work? does the radio still work if you plug power into the side of the radio?

for the pro-60 battery holder try radio shack, or there repair centers, the part number is hb1081 i beleive

***GENTLY*** try to bend the contacts or springs forward (outward) so they get good contact with the scanner. Or , again GENTLY, try to bend the contacts on the scanner forward. Maybe that will help? Those holders typically don't go bad...there is not too much that can go wrong with them. But the metal contacts can bend inward if they are old, causing a "miss" when they are inserted.

Yes it still works when plugged into a power source but it won't work when i put the battery holder in and i tried the bending the battery prongs and it did no good still won't come on does rs have this holder?

Well i called my 2 local stores and they both said that they don't have any in stock at the ware house where else can i get a pack i really would like to be able to use my pro-60 again without having to plug it into a power source.
