All I did on my (out of warranty) R@@IO SLACK pro-651 was reset it to factory settings as per the instructions and when it restarted it was waiting for the firmware update ??...they have no tech support or firmware download...r@@io slack refuses to release the firmware for the 651...

I just found a download of the firmware 2.9 update that will unbrick most of the Pro651 and Pro652 scanners.
Worked great on my 652
