Digital scanners are notoriously complex to program / set up; they always have been. They've only gotten more complicated over time.

Are you trying to set up favorites with the EZ Scan software that came with the unit, or are you trying to do it through the front interface of the unit? Trying to set it up directly on the unit is theoretically possible but very VERY complicated. You're more likely to wind up throwing it through the wall in frustration than you are in setting it up the way you want through the unit's interface.

The unit came with a short USB cable. Use that cable to interface with the computer (not just any USB cable; the one that came with the unit). Load the EZ Scan software, do the necessary updates, then you can go to town setting up your favorites as you like them. The software gets a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it, there's virtually no end to the possibilities of setting up the Pro-668.

I am using the software that came with it. got it loaded finally (that's a nother crazy story). Im going to play list and trying to create one. I put warrs in it and transfer to data to scanner and then its not on there. directions per the manual. I wish theu would make you tube videos of this stuff. I am sure I am one right click away, just not sure of where that right click is

Another thing I didn't notice at first is with these scanners in the programming software you see the playlists and what you've created but the scanner automatically enables a bunch of playlists in the 150-170 ought range approx that are NOT visible from the main window.

You have to scroll all the way down the enable/disable playlist screen to find those playlists.

That might explain why you are having so many other channels taking up space in scanning.

You might want to check if those are enabled as mine were by default. Then disable all of them.
