Pro-95 Frequncies Programming

Howdy,
I have a question i went to radio shack yesterday to get my scanner
programmed and they used that scanner lite programmed and it seems like when you have the scanner trunking it saids police nationallist? I never seen that before I always see like D/O/T or something like that.
What would be a better program to use for programming? I never programmed a scanner before. Anyone Can Help?

Their download of freqs is just a list to make the radio talk when you leave the store. There are several software choices but WIN95 is most popular. www.starrsoft.com It is really easy to use, BUT, post for someone in your area on the "state" forum and see if you can get a good PGM or Clone. Then you can backload it into the software and see whats in the scanner. It's better to start with a good program and then adjust it to what you want to scan.

Not only should you check in with the Georgia forum on this board, as Larry suggests, but there are a couple of Georgia-based Yahoo groups, and a very popular one on the PRO95, that may have files that you can use, assuming you download Win95 as mentioned previously....

It's always better to get more local help, since they're more likely to be familiar with scanning issues in your area.

Thanks Guys for the replies, The way the guy programmed
my scanner was he didnt use a scanner he used a computer
that has the scanner lite program installed. Should I buy
a programming cable and do it myself? What would be the
best cable to get? Im gonan takethe website addy for the
win95 and see if they work off of
