PRO -95 question,

I have used the SCANCAT program on my laptop and now want to download the info to my scanner. I am using the cream colored cable that the program and my PRO -95 book tell me to use but nothing happens, I believe I get and error, but when I use the black cable it does it thing sorta, if you now what I mean. Is it suppose to load all the frequencies and info in to the channels I did with the program.

can someone help , am I doing something wrong.

Tech2,

ScanCat is not the best program for the Pro-95 or any GRE made Radio Shack scanners. The gray or cream colored cable may be the correct cable if you got it from Radio Shack or GRE, but if your black cable came from Radio Shack, it's likely for some older scanners. If your cable came with ScanCat, it should work.

Cable out of the way and on to software. Win95 is easier to use, works with all features of the Pro-95 and opens even new scanning ranges in the scanner. Best part, it's free.and if the cable you have is correct (gray or cream) you are ready to go.

Find and download Win95 here .

What does that have to do with antennas?
