PRO-96/2096 sale?

Just thought I'd pass this on for those looking for a 96/2096. I may have missed it, but I see the PRO-96/2096 is on sale again at least on the Radio Shack web page. Checking around the local shacks they are out of stock, so I called Scanners Unlimited. Glenn tells me he has them and mentioned that he would offer free UPS Ground shipping (continental U.S.), to anyone who mentions Radioreference at the time of ordering, on either the Radio Shack PRO-96 or the 2096, both of which are on sale for $ 379.95.

I noticed today that the Pro 96 and 2096 are now out of stock on the RS site. Wonder if they give a rain check...?

RS web site now shows 96 in stock, 2096 still out. Local store says no one in district has any, either. By any chance does anyone know if this is a clearance sale? (Wouldn't that be nice if they came out with an updated version that trunks 700????).
