Just wondering if I have something in error or not. I have seen this for both EHS and RCMP that when a unit Keys their mike the alpha tag works fine but when the dispatch keys the mike first, it doesn't use the alpha tag. Is this normal or does it seem that I programmed it.wrong?

Down here on typical 800 trunk system make sure alpha tag is entered
on every freq in the system.. Not just the control freq..

Thanks...I'll give it a try and tag all frequencies in the bank and see if that does it. Only concern is that with other agencies using the same towers will be tagged with the same alpha tag...Gonna try it anyway and see what it does.
I figured out what the issue was and so I will tell so others may benefit in the future.
I had tmr frequenies in two banks, one for RCMP and one for EHS, however I had only the desired agencies talkgroup id in each bank. Therefore the scanner could not read the talkgroup. I had to either enter the talkgroups for both banks or enter all the talkgroups in one bank and go with the single bank which I did...
