Pro-96 Software?

Does anybody know of a Talkgroup Logger software package that works with the Pro-96?

I've tried ID Tracker, but keep getting a scanner error.

I'd like to let the scanner run during the day and let it log TGID's as well as record the transmission so I can find new Talkgroups as well as Identify some I've already found.

Well the ID Tracker program looks really cool but as you've discovered it doesn't work with the 96 or the other handhelds Radio Shack sells.

But there is this one. You'd have to set your 96 to "HOLD" on a TG but then you could record the entire day(s),week(s)..... audio.

I haven't tested any of these out as my sound card took a digger and I'm not sure wether to replace the card or the computer.

Very unlikely, since the firmware for the 96 only allows up/downloading. No control is possible; and since logging is considered part of the control protocol, like they say on the Sopranos...fuggedaboutit!

Get an Uniden if you want neat tools like IDTracker to work.

I don't wat to sound dumb and I know it States 9600, but will it decode 3600 as well?

I cant seem to get it to communicate with my 96.

Maybe if and when they change the Pro-96 to "spew" out something other than 9600 data, I think....
