Pro-97 programming

I am trying to program Fort Worth PD's trunk system frequencies and talk groups into my scanner. After reading the instructions, I believe I have done it correct, but it keeps just showing frequencies when scanning, and not talk groups.

I do not have the cable or software to hook it up to my computer, everything was done manually. Can you please help me.

If it's showing the frequency make sure it's setup as a Motorola system. it should have MO next to the bank/channel number. http://myweb.cableone.net/marksscanners/97/97.html#programming_trunking_systems easier to read and understand Pro-97 manual, section on programming a trunked system.

ok, so i cleared all the frequencies and started over with that website. I programmed all the frequencies and made sure they were set to "MO"torola. after programming those, I entered the talk groups I want to hear. When I hit Scan, It scans and shows me talk groups, but not only the ones I programmed in. Is there a way to listen to only the talk groups I program in? And if so, how do I go about that?

You have to change it to closed mode. Press Function then delay.

No prob, IMO the logical choice would be for it to default to closed mode, but it doesn't.
