Pro95 or Pro96

Just purchased this scanner on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250217842827&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015 . Is this a Pro95 or Pro96. The front on scanner looks like a Pro96 however the back say Pro95.
I am hoping I got a super deal on a 96.

It's a PRO-96 with a PRO-95 back case on it. And looks like someone wrote their name across the front of it with a Sharpie. These things would have made me avoid it like the plague.

I think the first three pictures are of a Pro-96 and the last two are of a totally different unit. The two case halves of a Pro-96 and a Pro-95 wouldn't line up properly on the top or sides and I don't think the screw holes are even in the same place. Can you spell RIP-OFF?

The seller also said that it only took 2 AA batteries. So maybe it's a BC 246T! Just Kidding!! Looks like a rip off, but never know, people don't know what they are selling.

Both the 95 and 96 take more than 2 batteries, have you got the radio yet? Could be either one, but I can see someone replacing the front of a 95 with a 96. For the money if it is a 96 and works you did good. Hoser

Radio should be here Friday, I just received the tracking numbers from the seller. Turns out this is a pawn shop selling some of their items on ebay. I really hope this is a 96, however I knew I was taking a chance when I bidded on it, we will see.

It is a Pro-95 with a Pro-96 face...you can tell the radio is a Pro-95 by the knobs and also the back..

its not, it even says in the description that it is a pro-95.

The back is definately a Pro-95 Model # 20-525. The knobs are identical on the 95 and 96

That's just a picture of the back of a PRO95 scanner but the front pictures are of a PRO96. I wouldn't touch that scanner with a 20 foot pole.

BTW thats what the scanners in my advatar are a 95 and 96.

Its a Pro 96 . It works just fine, Just loaded it with my frequencies from Win96. What a deal.

Jealousy Rears Its Ugly Head...

I am jealous. Oh well. BTW, if it's all marked up as shown, order a Lilkase. It should cover up where the guy messed it up. It'll look like a new radio. Get Win96, it will expand the frequencies, and make it ALOT easier to program. Good luck with it.
