Hi!
I'm new here i hope this isn't a wrong question to ask. Are there any known Mods for radio shack scanners? or neato keypad tricks?

if you use WIN96 software you can open up new frequencies to listen to in the PRO96, but the cell phone frequencies are blocked by the scanner so they do not open up.

awesome, i have a used pro96, so it didn't come with anything so i bought everything bit by bit. ant - power - and i would really like to have the pc cable! or has anyone ever made one? i'm having a really hard time programming this scanner like its supposed to be. I'm trying to figgure out the manual but i hate radioshack manuals even for there old 2 meter mobiles the manuals are bad

As n4voxgill says, if you use Win96 software, you will be much happier with the Pro-96. You can find information about Win96 here, and Don Starr provides information on the cable necessary for programming here.
