Pro96Com is constantly crashing on my Windows 10 machine. The crashes only happen when I'm trying to log busier systems. It doesn't happen on slow traffic systems. Any clue on how to fix this. Here's there error I got in the event viewer:

Have you right clicked its icon and tried running it with one of the Compatibility Modes?
Not sure if that will help but it's worth a try. I've had a few stubborn programs that would start and appear to run fine under Win 10 only to crash an hour or so later. Running them in compatibility mode for Windows 7 did fix the problem.
You might also check the box to run it as Admin in the same screen just in case it's crashing if it can't write something to a folder that is restricted. I don't see evidence of that in your log though but it's worth trying. I'd try just running in compatibility mode first.
Also try Win XP compatibility mode if Win 7 still crashes.

I have an Icom PCR1000 that worked fine under Win 7 but when I upgraded to Win 10, the program would no longer work correctly.
I tried Win 7 compat mode but still had problems. Once I switched it to Win XP compatibility mode, the PCR1000 software has worked just fine.

Good Luck

edit: I've also had Pro96com crash when monitoring a simulcast systems control channel. Usually it just stops decoding but sometimes it crashes. When it stops decoding, I can usually recover it by changing the frequency on the radio to another and then switching it right back to the control channel. When it fully crashes, a restart is needed of course. And often, a restart can only be done by using task manager to kill anything still running that was used by Pro96com.

I've tried everything you suggested and still encountered the same results. I had to fight with it for about 20 minutes. After the 10th restart, it worked and didn't crash. For what it's worth, I did a full 3 hour update on the system yesterday (including updating drivers), and that didn't correct the issue. I really wish this bug gets worked out in future updates if that's even possible.

I'll look into it. Helps though if you report the issue to the author (aka me) so that I'm aware of the issue.

What radio are you using as the decode radio?

Apologies for the late reply. I'm having issues with this again. I'm using a BCD396XT.
