BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Problem with Firmware Update

Trying to update the firmware on my BCD536HP. I did a clear data on the unit, and installed a new Favorites list on the scanner with Sentinel. When I tried to updatethe firmware to see if the unit had the most recent update, I get the following error message. Any Help?

That is a communications error with the server.
Nothing to do with the radio itself.

Looks like your FTP is being blocked by a firewall or your ISP(?)

Or.... not 100% sure on this, (someone can correct if wrong), if the Uniden server is down, is this the same error message?

Who is your internet service provider? Some ISP's have high latency and others block the FTP port that Uniden uses. Is this the first time you tried to update the scanner?

"Remote server name could not be resolved" means DNS problem.

Or port blocking by your ISP

Blocking TCP port 53 doesn't make sense and blocking tcp port 21 wouldn't stop name resolution but it would cause the attempted connection to timeout.

I use my hotspot on my Cell phone that solved my problem.

Got it working. I had issues with the internet connection.
