Hi! Guys!
I have an ICOM radio without labels. When I turned it on, it showed dPMR level 3. The guy who sold me the radio said it was 136-174 NXDN, and was replaced by 400-470 dPMR.
Is it possible?
When I tried to listen to the police (we have them using dPMR) I only saw a glowing signal that reception was continuing, but I didn't hear any voice at all and no noise, as if it were an analog radio. I opened the lid and it seems that the UT module is in place. But I know that the police are encrypting the conversation.
1. Is it possible to reprogram radio 136-170 to 400-470?
2. Can it be that nothing is heard during encryption, or distortion should take place?
3. How to recognize the real model of the radio receiver?
4. Is this digital module inside?
