I am new to RR and digital scanning, but have had computer programmable scanners in the past. I have had trouble using WIN96. When Iupload to the scanner the scanner display shows "incoorect model" What does that mean? I am also, having COMPORT problems upgrading the firmware. I am using the Radio Shack USB cable. Ihave used it in the past on other models and had no problems like this. PLEASE HELP!!

Found Problem to INCORRECT MODEL
Turns out the scanner I bought was a 2053 in a 2096 case. I had to send it in for repair to find it out. The seller did make good and claimed to know nothing about the rigged up unit.
