programing conventional DMR

want to program a conventional - DMR freq.
ILLINOIS/Marshall Co/ conventional .
Marshall Co / Marshall Co. Goverment.
460.1375, DMR color code 2, marshco law disp, Marshall Co sheriff, New Dispatch

Need to know where I can go to learn how to program the DMR conventional freq into the SDS 200 scanner

Create new 'system' within a Favorites List. System type is One-freq DMR. Enter the frequency and the next screen should ask the Color Code. Enter the Color Code. Do you know the TGID? If not, make sure to set ID SEARCH. I think that is under system settings.

I'm trying to do the same thing. Where do I enter the frequency?
can create the "new system" and pick the DMR One Freq but don't see a spot for the Frequency.

You have to follow the “menu” and click on new site scroll down where it says “enter frequencies”

The choice for ID Search or ID Scan is under the System Options.

Even if you do not (yet) know what talkgroup ID they may use, be sure and add a Department, and put at least one TGID in it as a placekeeper. I simply put one in as TGID 1. If you don't have a Department, or you do but there is no TGID in it, the radio will not scan it. Once you do see one or more talkgroups in use, then enter those in the Department, and if so desired, delete the 'place keeper' TGID of 1.

Sparland tower ----> 460.5500 / CC1 / TGID 620
Varna tower ----> 460.1375 / CC2 / TGID 620

If you don't have any luck picking up the system as "DMR One frq trunk", just enter the frequencies in a conventional system and label them to your liking. My 996P2 picks up DMR in conventional mode as well. It is probably true with other models. These frequencies are simulcasting, so only one is needed. Pick the one that's close to you.

Just a note, with the weather the way it is tonight, Marshall Co. is pretty quiet. You may have to listen a while to hear something.

Just program it as a standard conventional system. Or if you like, just add the frequency to one of your existing conventional systems. It works that way for me on a 996P2. Give it a shot. Don't worry about the color code.
