You're not going to be hearing a whole lot with that scanner. Almost all public safety in the Edmonton region is on AFRRCS, and that scanner doesn't cover 700 MHz or decode P25 digital voice.
If you are in Edmonton, you are going to want an SDS100 or SDS200. The city of Edmonton has a 5 site simulcast cell providing coverage in the city, and because it uses WCQPSK modulation, you will need one of those 2 scanners to properly decode AFRRCS. Most other scanner struggle to decode simulcast systems.
