Here's one that has me scratching my head a little:

I am trying to program my new Uniden BCD260DN with some military air UHF frequencies. I am using the Uniden BCDX60DN_SS software. When I attempt to write to the scanner, I get an error message that reads "Writing to scanner failed. The target model is BCD160DN. BCD260DN is connected."

I thought that the 160 and 260 were essentially the same "under the hood" and I thought that the X60 software worked on both models. Apparently I am wrong on one (or both) of those points.

I don't see an option to toggle from one model to the other in the settings of the software.

Has anyone come across this?

Thanks in advance!

When the program first starts, this box pops up to make your choices.

Only difference besides being a mobile type is the BCD260DN covers the 1240-1300 MHz range and the BCD160DN does not.
